About the HCFC (R-22) Consumption Regulation Schedule
Under the "Montreal Protocol" adopted in 1987, and the "Ozone Layer Protection Law" adopted in 1988, the use of HCFC (R22) is to be abolished in new products by the year 2020 in developed countries. It is estimated that it will become difficult to obtain R22 for service applications.

- The production quantity has not exceeded the average standard levels of production and consumption quantities since 2004.
- However, production will be allowed until 2029 to an upper limit amount of 0.5% of the base quantity, the use of which is to be confined to replenishment refrigerant in air conditioning facilities.
